KUWAIT CITY, 2025 – The Scientific Center, one of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) Centers, welcomed Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Kenichiro Mukai, on his first official visit since taking office. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific and environmental ties between Kuwait and Japan.
Mr. Mukai was welcomed by Engineer Musaad Al-Yaseen, General Manager of the Scientific Center, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Sanousi, Deputy General Manager for Visitors Engagement, along with other senior officials. During the visit, the ambassador toured the center’s interactive exhibits and educational facilities, which are designed to inspire innovation and foster a deeper understanding of environmental and scientific concepts.
Engineer Al-Yaseen emphasized the significance of the partnership between The Scientific Center and the Japanese Embassy, referencing past collaborations such as the marine turtle rehabilitation project. He expressed hope for further joint initiatives that would contribute to sustainability and innovation.
The ambassador highlighted the center’s efforts in delivering advanced educational programs and promoting environmental awareness within the community. He also emphasized on the opportunities for future collaboration in fields such as sustainable education and technological advancement.
