The Scientific Center – one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) – has announced the official launch of the award-winning film “T-REX” on Wednesday, 14 October 2025, in the presence of a group of students interested in paleontology, along with Scientific Center staff and annual membership holders.
The film is presented on the Scientific Center’s giant IMAX screen, taking viewers on an exciting journey through time to discover one of the most iconic and powerful predators in Earth’s history — the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Produced and distributed by Giant Screen Films, this compelling documentary combines the latest scientific research with captivating storytelling and stunning visual effects, offering audiences the most accurate and realistic portrayal of the legendary “Tyrant Lizard King.”
The film is narrated in English by world-renowned actor Sam Neill, star of the Jurassic Park series, while the Arabic version is delivered by Dr. Bassam Al-Jazzaf, whose warm and engaging narration adds a unique local touch that enhances the experience for both Kuwaiti and Arab audiences.
“T-REX” highlights the incredible true story of three teenagers who discovered a rare Tyrannosaurus fossil, a finding that significantly expanded scientific understanding of dinosaur growth and behavior.
