The Scientific Center Launches “STEAM Bus” – A Mobile Educational Experience Reaching Schools

The Scientific Center – one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences – launched today, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the “STEAM Bus” initiative. The bus began its first stop at the Early Learning English Academy – Sabah Al-Salem Branch, offering students across Kuwait an innovative and mobile scientific experience.

The “STEAM Bus” builds upon the “Science Bus” initiative previously introduced by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. Inspired by that model, The Scientific Center developed this project to expand its reach and deliver its scientific mission to the widest possible segment of students in an engaging and interactive way.

The project aims to break the boundaries of traditional classrooms through a mobile educational platform that visits both public and private schools according to a structured schedule, providing students with a lively and interactive learning environment.

The bus features three main stations: the Optics Station, the Energy Station, and the Motion Station. Each station offers live scientific experiments and simplified demonstrations that allow students to explore scientific concepts and connect them to real-life applications in an enjoyable, hands-on way. Activities are delivered by a specialized team in science communication, making the experience both curiosity-driven and impactful in shaping the learning process.

In this context, Mr. Mohammed Al-Sanousi, Deputy General Manager for Visitor Experience at The Scientific Center, stated:
