The Scientific Center – one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) – announced on Sunday the launch of its Winter Camp for Children, offering a comprehensive interactive educational experience that combines learning and fun in a safe and stimulating environment. The camp is part of the Center’s ongoing programs aimed at promoting scientific culture and developing the skills of future generations.
The Winter Camp targets children aged 6 to 12 and is a multidisciplinary educational program running for five weeks. Each week is dedicated to a different scientific theme, carefully designed to take participants on an engaging journey through a variety of scientific topics. The program includes science lessons aligned with each weekly theme, supported by hands-on interactive activities that enhance practical understanding and foster children’s curiosity and love for exploration.
The Scientific Center also emphasized that the Winter Camp programs are accredited by STEM.org, reflecting the Center’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational content in accordance with international standards in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), ensuring a reliable and enriching learning experience for participants.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Al-Sanousi, Deputy Director General for Visitor Experience, stated:
“The Winter Camp is part of The Scientific Center’s commitment to providing innovative educational programs that align with children’s interests and support their cognitive and skill development. The camp has been designed as a comprehensive experience that combines education, interaction, and entertainment, contributing to instilling a love for science and exploration among participants from an early age. We have also ensured the provision of a safe and stimulating learning environment that enables children to learn through hands-on and interactive methods that enhance their curiosity and encourage innovation.”
The launch of the Winter Camp comes as part of The Scientific Center’s continuous efforts to offer high-quality programs that contribute to building a scientifically aware generation and support non-formal education through educational experiences that seamlessly combine knowledge and enjoyment.
